As Christians across the country mark Good Friday, a frontline political figure in Idemili North, Hon. Afam Stanley Uzoegwu, has called on residents to embrace the virtues of unity, love, and selfless service as exemplified by Jesus Christ.
In a goodwill message made available to the public, Uzoegwu expressed heartfelt appreciation to the people of Idemili North for their unwavering support, prayers, and encouragement, which he described as the driving force behind his continued commitment to service.
He noted that Good Friday is not only a day of solemn reflection on the passion and sacrifice of Christ but also an opportunity for individuals and communities to renew their faith and commitment to humanity.
“Christ’s sacrifice reminds us of the power of love, compassion, and forgiveness. It is a call for us all to live in harmony and extend kindness to one another, regardless of differences.”
Uzoegwu further urged the people of Idemili North to remain steadfast in promoting peace, unity, and collective progress, expressing hope that the season would strengthen the bond of togetherness among the people and inspire a renewed sense of purpose toward building a better society.
The message came at a time when communities are seeking purposeful leadership and inclusive governance, with Uzoegwu positioning himself as a voice for grassroots development and people-centered representation.
He wished all residents a reflective Good Friday and a peaceful Easter celebration, encouraging them to uphold the values of grace, love, and sacrifice in their daily lives, saying that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and cooperation.
He prayed for divine blessings upon the constituency.
