The College of Postgraduate Studies, Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has introduced an 18-month flexible Master’s degree programme designed to make postgraduate education more accessible to working professionals, entrepreneurs and students living outside Awka.
The new study model combines online learning with physical lectures, allowing students to participate in academic activities virtually while attending compulsory in-person engagements when required.
According to the University, the initiative is designed to provide greater flexibility for students who may find it difficult to commit to conventional full-time postgraduate programmes because of work, business or other responsibilities.

The programme will enable eligible students to pursue postgraduate studies while maintaining their professional and personal commitments, with the opportunity to complete their Master’s degree within 18 months.
The development expands access to postgraduate education at UNIZIK by combining digital learning with face-to-face academic engagement.
Applications for the next admission cycle open in October 2026.
