The Uga Temporary Library has rewarded outstanding secondary school students who excelled in its reading competition, recognising their dedication, discipline and impressive academic performance.
The award ceremony, held on August 13 at the Ofolebe Education Foundation, Nkwo Uga, brought together students, parents, teachers, education stakeholders and other well-wishers to celebrate the achievements of the participants.
The programme was organised by the Uga Temporary Library Committee (UTLC), under the chairmanship of Professor Christian U. Ezeigbo, as part of efforts to promote a strong reading culture and encourage academic excellence among young people.

Winners of the competition received prizes and awards in recognition of their outstanding performances, while all participants were commended for their commitment, enthusiasm and dedication throughout the competition.
Parents and teachers applauded the initiative and encouraged students to cultivate the habit of reading regularly, broaden their knowledge and develop strong study habits that would enhance their academic performance.

The organisers also expressed appreciation to the participating schools, parents, teachers, students and supporters whose contributions helped make the programme a success.
They urged the beneficiaries to remain focused and hardworking, stressing that consistent reading and the pursuit of knowledge would better prepare them for future leadership, excellence and meaningful contributions to society.
