The Catholic Women Organization (CWO), St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, Awka, has honoured the Awka Diocesan CWO Director, Lady Ngozi Muo, with a colourful reception in recognition of her exemplary leadership and dedicated service to the.
The event, which took place on June 14, attracted Catholic women from different parts of the Diocese, alongside the Diocesan CWO Chaplain, members of the Diocesan Executive Council, regional coordinators, and past parish CWO presidents.

In her welcome address, the Parish CWO President, Dr. Christy Odimegwu, praised Lady Muo for her commitment, humility, and tireless efforts toward the growth of the organization and the advancement of the Church’s mission. She described the Director as a role model whose leadership continues to inspire women to play active roles in evangelization and community development.
A citation in honour of the Director was presented by Lady Uju Chiekezie, who highlighted Lady Muo’s remarkable accomplishments and invaluable contributions to the development and progress of the Catholic Women Organization within the Diocese.

The celebration featured vibrant cultural performances, including Mbem, Oja, and Itu Nge dances, which showcased the richness of Igbo cultural heritage and fostered a spirit of unity and fellowship among participants.
The reception concluded with prayers of thanksgiving and a renewed commitment to the values of faith, service, and unity. Participants commended Lady Muo for her impactful leadership and unwavering dedication to the Church and the Catholic Women Organization.
