The Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim, has described the pace of development and transformation under the administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo as extraordinary.
Dr. Ibezim stated this when he received the District Governor of Rotary International District 9142, Rtn. Chibuzor Asogwa and his delegation today, August 17, as they paid him a courtesy visit at the Light House, Awka.
Representing Governor Soludo, the Deputy Governor commended Rotary International for its humanitarian services and contributions toward human and community developments.

Dr. Ibezim, a Paul Harris fellow of the association revealed that he had progressed through Interact and Rotaract before becoming a Rotarian, he stressed that the organisation’s Four-Way Test had remained a guide to responsible conduct, service and leadership.
He further stated that Governor Soludo is determined to leave an enduring footprint of development that would be remembered by posterity.
Earlier, Rtn. Asogwa congratulated Governor Soludo on his re-election, stating that it demonstrated the confidence of the people in the administration’s achievements.

For the projects visited, Asogwa commended the governor for the Solution Fun City, which he visited, stressing that it is a suitable place for family relaxation.
Furthermore, the District Governor described Rotary as a worthy partner in development and added that District 9142, comprising the South-East states, Akwa Ibom and Cross River, is currently implementing projects across the district, particularly in maternal health.

He siezed the opportunity to announce their forthcoming membership and public image workshop for Rotarians from the district at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
Welcoming the delegation, the Chief of Protocol to the Governor, Prof. Frank Collins Okafor, a Rotarian, described Asogwa as a friend of Anambra State and commended his commitment to Rotary service.

The visit was well attended by the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Nwabufo Nwankwo a Rotarian alongside other senior government officials and Rotarians as presentations, decorations and group photography, formed the key parts of the visit.
