SOLUDO’S APPOINTMENTS SHOW COMMITMENT TO GENDER BALANCE, SAYS NAWOJ

‎The Chairperson of the Anambra State Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Comrade Tochukwu Ifejika, has commended Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for his recent appointments of women technocrats into his second-term administration, citing his commitment to gender balance and recognition of competence.

‎Speaking in an interaction with newsmen at Awka, Comrade Ifejika lauded the Governor’s commitment to upholding meritocracy, observing that this approach augurs well for the state’s progress. She further noted that the Governor’s deliberate efforts to ensure gender parity in his appointments underscore his position as a proponent of women’s empowerment.

‎The NAWOJ Chairperson described the appointments as a significant milestone, strengthening the trust and confidence reposed in Governor Soludo’s leadership by the people of Anambra State. She also acknowledged the Governor’s wife, Dr. Nonye Soludo, for her support for NAWOJ and contributions to the growth of the media profession.

‎Comrade Ifejika further called for increased representation of women in decision-making positions at all levels of government, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity in governance.
