The newly recruited health workers under Soludo government receive their posting letters to start work immediately.
The letter was given to them at the State Hospital Management Board in Enugwu-Ukwu .
According to the state Hospital Administrator , Dr Frank Ifeanaeme, the essence of the recruitment is to make sure that state hospitals do not run shortages of health professionals.
He noted that this government has employed more than 2000 health workers since it assumed office, emphasizing that Soludo Government is health sector friendly.
He also advised all the newly employed health workers to always abide by the rules and regulations of the civil service, assuring them that their welfare is always government priority.
Dr Ifeanaeme noted that among the newly recruited are consultants, nurses, pharmacists, laboratory scientists and technologists, physiotherapists, community health workers , Higher Executive Officers among others.
He thanked gyovernor Soludo for his efforts to see that Ndi Anambra have access to quality, accessible and affordable healthcare services, noting that the state has been running shortage of physiotherapist making it difficult for patients to patronize private hospitals but now that the government has employed more hands the pains have been relieved.
Interacting with the newly employed staff, they expressed joy and showered prayers on Governor Soludo for this massive employment of health workers.
Ginika Osisiego a staff nurse posted to General Hospital Enugu-Ukwu could not hold her joy over her new job. She promised to abide by the rules and regulations of the civil service.
“I am overwhelmed by this great opportunity given to me by Governor Soludo , I will not take it for granted.
“Some of us could not get the job, but I was given the opportunity to serve the state, God bless you Governor Soludo.
Another male Staff nurse, Obi Kenneth posted to Neuropsychiatric hospital Nawfia said his family is overjoyed.
“My family and I cannot express how we felt given this great opportunity, Soludo has shown that he has the people’s interest in mind, may the Almighty bless him.”
Christian Ugochukwu, husband to one of the newly employees,said that governor Soludo through this employment has lifted poverty from many families.
He thanked the governor for giving this job to the wife and pledged his support to make sure that the wife gives in her best to serve the people.
The duo of Ogochukwu Chukwulobelu, a physiotherapist posted to GH Enugwu-Ukwu and Amarachi Ezenwaka, a Higher Executive Officer commended the governor for having the health of his people at heart and wish him God’s protection this second tenure.
