Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has urged government officials and civil servants in Anambra State to remain committed to effective service delivery, good governance, and sustainable development for the benefit of citizens.
Speaking during the State Executive Council meeting at the Government House, Awka, the governor emphasized accountability, performance, and the high standards expected from public office holders under his administration.
Governor Soludo stressed that officials must focus their efforts on sectors that directly improve citizens’ welfare, including security, education, infrastructure, job creation, and economic development across the state.
He noted that meaningful progress in these key sectors translates into improved living conditions, greater opportunities, and enhanced well-being for residents of Anambra State.
The governor also encouraged public officials to embrace innovation, adopt reforms, and utilize emerging technologies capable of improving governance, enhancing efficiency, and accelerating development in the state.
According to him, genuine progress requires bold thinking, courageous decisions, and a willingness to improve systems that no longer effectively serve the needs of the people.
On leadership and character, Soludo reminded civil servants and political appointees that public service is fundamentally about serving citizens with honesty, dedication, integrity, and accountability.
He maintained that transparency should be reflected in daily actions and decisions, while public interest must always take precedence over personal gains and considerations.
The governor concluded by urging officials to remain focused on delivering visible results, declaring: “Think boldly, serve faithfully, and deliver the best results” for the people of Anambra State.
