Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has received a donation of 10 vehicles from Zenco Group, describing the gesture as a timely contribution to strengthening security and development efforts in Anambra State.

The vehicles, donated by Cletus Oragwa, were formally handed over at the Government House, Awka, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to leveraging partnerships for public good.

Speaking during the presentation, Governor Soludo emphasized that the donation reflects the success of his administration’s Public-Private-Community Partnership (PPCP) framework, which encourages collaboration between government, private sector actors, and local communities to drive sustainable development.

The Governor also pointed to the remarkable transformation of Ukpor, once known for security challenges, noting that coordinated efforts between government and residents have repositioned the area as one of the safest in the state. He praised the people of Ukpor for their collective resolve, adding that such community-driven cooperation remains vital to achieving lasting progress.

Reiterating his Open Society Agenda, Soludo stressed that government resources alone cannot meet the growing demands of development, underscoring the need to attract and utilize private sector investment to fast-track infrastructure and economic expansion.

He further disclosed that a kaolin processing facility is nearing completion in Ukpor and will soon be commissioned, positioning the community as an emerging industrial destination with significant economic potential.

While expressing appreciation to Chief Oragwa for his support, the Governor called on Ndi Anambra, particularly those in the diaspora, to embrace the “Homecoming Spirit” by investing in the state’s future.

Earlier, presenting the vehicles on behalf of the donor, Ikenna Mbazulike-Amechi stated that the donation was intended to support the government’s security initiatives and contribute to ongoing efforts to maintain peace and stability across the state.
