Governor Chukwuma Soludo has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to attracting investment and fostering economic growth, declaring that Anambra is open for business and ready to welcome both local and international investors.
The declaration is one of the governor’s signature slogans, frequently reiterated during Executive Council meetings at the Light House, Awka, and other economic engagements whenever discussions focus on investment, industrialisation and economic growth, reflecting his administration’s determination to position Anambra as a leading destination for investment, enterprise development and job creation.
Since assuming office, Soludo’s government has pursued reforms aimed at improving the business environment through enhanced infrastructure, strengthened security, streamlined regulatory processes and greater private-sector participation, designed to remove barriers to investment and create conditions that enable businesses to thrive.
According to the governor, investment remains central to his vision of building a livable and prosperous homeland, maintaining that sustainable economic development depends on strong collaboration between government and the private sector, with both playing critical roles in driving growth and expanding opportunities for residents.
The phrase, “Anambra is open for business,” has evolved into a defining slogan of the Soludo administration’s economic strategy, signaling the state’s readiness to attract investments across key sectors, including manufacturing, technology, agriculture, trade and services.
As the government continues to implement reforms and deliver critical infrastructure projects, believing the message sends a strong signal to investors seeking opportunities in one of Nigeria’s most commercially vibrant states.
Through its investment-friendly policies, the administration aims to accelerate economic transformation, create jobs and strengthen Anambra’s position as a preferred destination for business and industrial development.
