Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has commended the appointments of Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu and Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Kenechukwu Onwuemelie, acknowledging their pivotal roles in bolstering security within the state.

During a courtesy visit at the Government House, Awka, Governor Soludo underscored the imperative of fortifying collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and the State Government to maintain peace and stimulate economic growth. His Excellency also sought the police force’s assistance in resolving an ongoing traditional leadership dispute in Awka, as the panel of enquiry nears the conclusion of its probe.
The Deputy Inspector-General of Police, representing the Inspector-General of Police, reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to nurturing strategic partnerships with the State Government and other pertinent stakeholders, aimed at safeguarding lives and property.
The visit highlighted the Nigeria Police Force’s resolve to enhance cooperation with the State Government, ensuring the maintenance of peace, security, and public safety in Anambra State and the broader South East region.
