Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has appointed Barr. Ngozi Anuli Iwouno as the new Head of Service (HOS), effective March 23, 2026. Iwouno, a seasoned Lawyer and Civil Servant, succeeds Barr. Okwy Igwegbe, who recently retired from the position.
Prior to her appointment, Barr. Iwouno served as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice and Solicitor General of Anambra State. Her impressive academic background includes a law degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, a master’s and doctorate in law from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, and a certificate from the Nigerian Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS).

Barr. Iwouno is recognized for her dedication to excellence, environmental sustainability, and waste management initiatives in Anambra State.
Her appointment underscores Governor Soludo’s commitment to merit-based selections, eschewing mediocrity and favoritism.
The appointment has been welcomed by many, who praise Iwouno’s qualifications and Soludo’s leadership.
