A medical practitioner at Enugwu-Ukwu General Hospital, Dr. Ayodele Okoti, has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for supporting initiatives that expand access to quality healthcare, describing the ongoing free fibroid surgery programme as a life changing intervention for many women in Anambra State.
Dr. Okoti gave the commendation during the free fibroid surgery programme organised at Enugwu-Ukwu General Hospital as part of activities marking Governor Soludo’s 66th birthday anniversary.
She expressed appreciation to the governor for creating an enabling environment that allows medical professionals to deliver essential healthcare services to residents, noting that the opportunity to restore the health of patients is both a privilege and a responsibility.
According to her, the programme demonstrates the importance of people centred governance by making specialized medical care accessible to women who might otherwise be unable to afford the cost of surgery.
Dr. Okoti assured that all beneficiaries are receiving quality care from a dedicated team of healthcare professionals committed to ensuring their safety, comfort and successful recovery throughout the treatment process.
She reaffirmed the medical team’s commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism while supporting initiatives that improve the health and well being of communities across the state.
The medical practitioner expressed optimism that similar interventions would continue to reach more residents, thereby expanding access to essential healthcare services and improving health outcomes for families.
The free fibroid surgery programme forms part of a broader medical outreach organised to commemorate Governor Soludo’s 66th birthday. The initiative provides free medical screening, treatment and specialised surgical services to eligible residents at designated hospitals across Anambra State, relieving beneficiaries of the financial burden associated with such procedures.
