‎The Solution Innovation District (SID) has organised a Facility Stewardship and Workplace Hygiene Induction for its staff and interns to promote cleanliness, professionalism, accountability, and proper management of workplace facilities.
‎
‎The induction, held on October 27, at SID’s office in the Old Government House, Awka, was facilitated by the Head of Facility Management, Mrs. Jennifer Atiwe.
‎
‎The session focused on strengthening a culture of responsibility and ensuring that staff and interns understand the importance of maintaining shared facilities and promoting a clean, safe, organised, and productive working environment.
‎

‎Participants were trained on the proper use and maintenance of office facilities, workplace hygiene standards, shared responsibility for common areas, and practical measures for maintaining a healthy and orderly workplace.
‎
‎Speaking during the induction, Mrs. Atiwe emphasised that the effective management and preservation of public facilities require collective responsibility, noting that maintaining high standards of hygiene and facility management contributes to staff well-being, operational efficiency, and improved service delivery.
‎
‎She encouraged staff and interns to take ownership of their work environment by adopting responsible practices that would help preserve facilities and ensure their continued usefulness.
‎
‎The initiative reflects SID’s commitment to promoting a professional workplace culture where staff and interns understand their responsibilities in protecting public assets, maintaining a healthy environment, and upholding institutional standards.
‎
‎The district noted that building an innovation-driven ecosystem goes beyond technology and infrastructure, stressing that discipline, accountability, cleanliness, and shared responsibility are essential to creating a sustainable and productive workplace.
‎
‎The Solution Innovation District reiterated its commitment to driving innovation, building capacity, and shaping the future through initiatives that promote professionalism, effective facility management, and a conducive environment for innovation.
