The Special Adviser to the Anambra State Governor on Education, Mrs. Obiageli Chiegboka, has urged teachers to take responsibility for their professional development by acquiring digital skills and continually updating their knowledge.
Chiegboka gave the charge on Sept. 4 while addressing teachers at the Holy Child Secondary School, Isuofia ICT Centre, during the concluding session of the eight day Solution Teachers Digital Skills Training Programme.
She urged the participants to remain committed to learning, stressing that professional growth required personal effort and a willingness to acquire new skills.

“Don’t say you are tired. If you don’t invest, you are not going to do well,” she told the teachers, urging them to make the most of the training.
Chiegboka said the approval of the programme by Governor Chukwuma Soludo demonstrated the administration’s commitment to equipping teachers with skills needed to function effectively in a technology driven education system.
She also encouraged the participants to complete the training and obtain their certificates, saying the additional skills would enhance their professional development.
The Solution Teachers Digital Skills Training Programme brought together teachers from across the state and covered ICT, digital classroom tools, e-learning, Google Workspace and emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence.
The eight day programme ended on Sept. 4.
