The Headmistress, Central School, Akpo, Mrs Uchenna Dimnwanze has poured encomiums on Governor Chukwuma Soludo for bringing teachers close to Education Board and Management, through digitalization of education system.

She said this in an interaction with information officers, in her office, as the school celebrate send forth for outgoing primary six school pupils, at the school field, in Aguata LGA, on July 13.

The headmistress said, “I have been a teacher in Anambra State for quite long now. Governors had come and gone, with first hand experience, I can assure you, none has got education policies right as much as Governor Soludo.

“Introduction of modern education gadgets such as sophisticated phones and personal computers to teachers/headteachers has made the job easy, such that information and directives are received from board and management at the comfort of offices and classrooms.

“Our salaries are paid promptly, gratuity for retired teachers are given to them promptly. Soludo has indeed made teaching profession enjoyable in Anambra State. One can be proud to say, I am a teacher.

“Teachers strike that was slogan everybody knew about in the past, is no longer remembered. This is because those things to be agitated for are given to us promptly.”

The Headmistress, however, pleaded with Governor Soludo to see how he could rub mind with missions as to include public mission schools in the ongoing free education for public schools.

“Children in these schools are needed to share in the dividends of democracy Soludo is taking to households of Anambra State.”

The Chairman of the send forth occasion, Nze Linus Okpalaugo whose joy knew no bounds, as pioneer member of Soludo’s support group(SSG) said, “I have no regret putting even my resources to supporting Soludo to being governor.

“We work on his antecedence as an economist of international repute, economic backbone of former president, Obasanjo’s regime, the man who revisionalized Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN) as governor in five years.

“We woo him to come and contest Gubernatorial office. His reputation gave him victory. Every department of governance in Anambra State has received markable positive touch under his watch.

“This is why it is difficult for those running campaign jingles already to have anything in their jingles. They are talking about going to bring free education which is already in place under Soludo.

“The employment opportunity to be created cannot beat 1 youth 2 skills programmes, digital economic programme that had engaged our youths meaningfully.”

“Soludo employed over 8000 teachers, over 1000 health workers, what type of employment do we need, to beat what we have in hand already.

“In infrastructure development, Soludo is unbeatable. In fact, only a man/woman that is bad upstairs will cast his/her vote outside Soludo come November 8 Gubernatorial Election to be in Anambra State,” Okpalaugo said.

He enjoined outgoing Primary six pupils being celebrated to see education as the most precious thing needed in their lives to becoming anything they wish to be.

“The road to it is hard work, obedience to parents/teachers, respect to elders, constituted authorities and fear of God. If you put these virtues into use, you must succeed in every endeavour of your life.”

Okpalaugo added that exam malpractice is stupid hence it does not give the practitioner the required education.

“You are not going to school to obtain certificate but getting educated. Certificate is there to introduce you to the society as educated.

“So, if you do not have education inside of you to wipe off ignorance within you, you must have caused yourself an irreparable damage. So, I urge you to voluntarily eschew exam malpractice of any kind.”

The occasion featured march past, and cultural dance.
