Rev. Atuegwu of Redemption Church, Umunya, has urged women to remain grateful to God and recognise His grace as the source of their victories, testimonies and accomplishments.

Atuegwu gave the charge while delivering the Sunday sermon at the church’s Women’s Thanksgiving and Harvest Celebration held on Aug. 30, with the theme, “His Grace Has Done This.”

He said the theme was a reminder that whatever believers achieved and every testimony they received were made possible by God’s grace.

The cleric urged the women to look beyond their personal efforts and abilities and acknowledge God’s hand in their lives, families and the church.

He noted that the preservation of life, provision, protection and the opportunity to witness another harvest season were reasons for believers to continually give thanks to God.

According to him, genuine thanksgiving should come from a heart that recognises and appreciates God’s faithfulness.

He urged the women not to see the harvest celebration merely as an annual church activity, but as an opportunity to publicly acknowledge God’s goodness and faithfulness.

Atuegwu further encouraged the congregation to make God’s grace evident in their daily lives through faithful service, love, humility and obedience.

He said recognising God’s grace should not make believers complacent, but should inspire them to commit themselves more fully to serving God and humanity.

The cleric also reminded the women that their families, businesses, careers, homes and other accomplishments were blessings entrusted to them by God and should be used to advance His work and positively impact others.

The celebration featured songs of praise, prayers and thanksgiving as the women gathered to celebrate God’s faithfulness and acknowledge His blessings.

The occasion provided an opportunity for the women to reflect on God’s preservation and sustaining grace, with the central message of the celebration captured in its theme: “His Grace Has Done This.”
