Rainfall is a type of water that falls from clouds in the sky down to the ground.
There has being effects of rainfall on Awka residents, some of them who spoke to the journalist have these to say through their divergent views.
In an interview with a resident of Ifite- Awka, on July 31, Mrs Monica Anachuna says rainfall boosts cultivation of food crops noting that food are produced in large quantities. She added that during the rainy season environment are filthy and wet.

Also, a woman living in Arthur Avenue, Mrs Chinwe Ochuaka explained that rainfall provides adequate water for indigenes and non indigenes experiencing shortage of water highlighting that it help to desilt drainages; killing mosquito larvas and making the environment clean

Mrs Chinwe Ochuaka hinted that this season provides adequate electricity and good weather condition for people to have a sound sleep at night.
She further adds that this period reduces dust within the environment.
A Mini-Supermarket owner at the same community, Ndubuisi Okoye attributed this period to reduction of sales of goods and services by lacking customers.
