The newly appointed Executive Secretary, Anambra State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (ASPHCDA), Dr Obianuju Chinelo Okoye together with Family, Management and Staff of ASPHCDA, has ushered in her administration with a Thanksgiving Mass held at the ASPHCDA office complex, Awka.
Officiating the Mass, Rev. Fr. Charles Obi from Archdiocese of Onitsha, commended the Executive Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo for finding Dr Okoye qualified to head the Primary Healthcare Agency and hence the need to commence work with God as cut off from Him one achieves nothing.
He prayed for God’s strength, and wisdom on the Executive Secretary and all who would be working with her, that through good works, would deliver a better healthcare system in Anambra State.
He noted that Dr Okoye’s appointment was drawn from the desire of the state government to have best hands working to improve systems, emphasizing that a working government was one with a system that has capable hands working in every corner.

Rev. Fr. Obi gave a sermon from readings of the day, urging all not to abandon God in difficult times, but to stay true to faith. He admonished the ES that like Banabas in the bible, she has been sent to deliver a job by the Government and she needs Paul to help; who are other workers of the Agency, as it is not a one man job.
He noted that past leaders of the Agency has planted, and those plants should continue to be watered. As the goal was not to outshine anyone, but to continue to make Anambra; light of the nation’s State to continually shine.
While admonishing that in all, we are co-workers with God and have been entrusted with responsibility to keep the state shining.
The cleric, then, prayed for grace and spirit of excellency for all working in the Agency, that by discharging their duties they would receive the blessing of God in this world, with everlasting happiness through Christ our Lord.
Head, Accounting Department, ASPHCDA, Mrs Amaka Maduka on behalf of Management and Staff of the Agency, thanked the priest for the spiritual renewal and officiating Mass in the Agency. She prayed for God’s blessings upon him while wishing him journey mercy back to his destination.
