The Anambra State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Mrs. Chinyere Esther Onyekesi, has pledged the ministry’s support for the Solution Continuous Team’s efforts to contribute time, resources and volunteer services towards improving the welfare of residents.
Onyekesi made the commitment when the team, led by the Special Senior Assistant on Political Matters in the Office of the Deputy Governor and State Coordinator of the Solution Continuous Team, Mr. Ofojebe Chinedu, paid her a courtesy visit in Awka on Sept. 18.

The commissioner commended the team for its commitment to volunteerism and civic responsibility, stressing that partnerships with committed citizens and groups could complement government’s efforts to improve the wellbeing of women, children and other vulnerable persons across the state.

She assured the team of the ministry’s cooperation and encouraged its members to remain committed to initiatives that promote the welfare of residents and contribute to making Anambra a more livable state.
Earlier, Ofojebe said members of the team were ready to voluntarily commit their time and resources towards supporting government programmes and activities. He said the team was determined to contribute meaningfully to the development of Anambra State by supporting initiatives capable of making a positive impact on communities and residents.

The engagement also provided an opportunity for the ministry and the Solution Continuous Team to identify possible areas of collaboration in advancing social welfare programmes and community-focused initiatives.
The visit further underscored the importance of citizen participation and volunteerism in complementing government’s development efforts and supporting the administration’s drive to improve the quality of life of residents.
