The information officers of the Ministry of Information and Value Reformation, Anambra State, in Onitsha South Local Government Area, have congratulated the newly elected Mayor, Hon. Ikechukwu Peter Mofuluanya, on his successful election.
The officers paid a courtesy visit to the mayor on October 19, to felicitate with him on his emergence and welcome him to his new position.
During the visit, the Information officers expressed their goodwill and extended their congratulations to the mayor, wishing him a successful and impactful tenure.
They also used the opportunity to reaffirm their commitment to supporting the local government administration through effective information dissemination and public communication.
The officers emphasised the importance of timely and accurate information in promoting public awareness, strengthening relations between the government and residents, and ensuring that government policies, programmes and activities are properly communicated to the people.
They expressed their readiness to work in collaboration with the mayor and his administration to enhance public communication and keep residents informed about developments within the local government area.
The information officers further wished Hon. Mofuluanya wisdom, strength and success as he begins his tenure, expressing optimism that his administration would make meaningful contributions to the development of Onitsha South.
