By Juliana Nwachukwu
The Onitsha South Local Government Area(LGA) campaign rally is set to hold on, Aug. 25, marking the commencement of a ward-to-ward mobilisation drive ahead of the forthcoming local government election.
Held under the theme “A Greater Onitsha South,” the campaign is expected to bring together supporters, community leaders, stakeholders and residents to promote a shared vision for the development of the area.
The organisers said the campaign would focus on unity, peaceful participation and collective responsibility, while engaging residents on issues and priorities that are important to the growth and wellbeing of Onitsha South.
They called on the people to put aside differences and work together towards building a more peaceful, prosperous and inclusive LGA.
The campaign will provide an opportunity for residents and stakeholders to engage with the aspirations and development priorities being presented by the campaign, while strengthening grassroots participation ahead of the election.
With the ward tour commencing today, the organisers have urged supporters and residents to participate peacefully and responsibly, emphasising that sustainable development requires the collective effort of the people.
The campaign’s central message remains unity, progress and shared responsibility in the pursuit of a greater Onitsha South.
