The Deputy Chairman, Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council and Chairman Anambra North Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe ( Prof) Benjamin Okeji has urged women in Igbo land to take advantage of their annual August meetings to impact more towards the development of their families.
In a message to the women at their August meetings, Igwe Okeji doubling as the traditional ruler of Omasi ,tasked them to play supportive roles to their spouses in the upbringing of their children.
According to the traditional ruler, a lot rests on their shoulders more to bring their children closer to the realities of the day through counselings and tutelage.
He warned them not to over pamper their children in such a manner as to disregard the authority of their husbands.
Igwe Okeji expects women to give all the respects to their husbands in submissiveness if they err.
The royal father further urged them to bear in mind the development of the society as they deliberate in their meetings.
