The Deputy Chairman, Anambra State Traditional rulers Council and Chairman Anambra North Traditional rulers Council Igwe(Prof)Benjamin Okeji, has called on Nigerians to be guided by probity and cautious demeanor in their affairs in the Ember Months.
In a press statement in Awka on their expectations within the period, Igwe Okeji an ordained Minister of the Gospel Of Jesus Christ, noted that as the Yuletide season is fast approaching with its challenges and expectations, people should mend their ways and fashion out means to be good citizens and working towards adopting lifestyles that are edifying, and for the common good.
The royal father urged that as the November 8 Governorship election in the state is around the corner, politicians should be guided by the electoral ethics and avoid campaigns of calumny, while the electorate should vote according to their conscience.
He applauded Governor Chukwuma Soludo for putting in place structures that have lifted Anambra State to enviable heights.
Ahead of his Ofala festival slated for December 30, 2025, Igwe Okeji operating as the Chairman Southern Traditional rulers Council Anambra State Chapter, said that only individuals of proven integrity and duly certified by their traditional rulers as resourceful and generous financially or kind to humanity, are given Chieftaincy titles.
He used the forum to urge his fellow traditional rulers to comport themselves with dignity and royalty in the discharge of their royal duties.
