‎
‎The road project, which connects Amaehulu Town Hall with Holy Family Secondary School, is expected to improve access to commercial, educational and community facilities while enhancing transportation and economic activities within the benefiting communities.
‎

‎The project is being executed through the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI), under the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, with ELO B Industries Limited handling the construction works, which have commenced at the site.
‎
‎Hon. Okafor described the project as another demonstration of his commitment to people-oriented representation, noting that the completed road would ease movement, reduce travel difficulties, stimulate commercial activities and improve the quality of life of residents in the area.
‎

‎The lawmaker disclosed that the project represents his second road intervention in Igbo-Ukwu and the fifth road project attracted to Aguata Federal Constituency since he assumed office slightly over three years ago.
‎
‎He also listed other constituency projects and interventions undertaken in Aguata to include classroom blocks, educational materials, solar streetlights, community power systems, sports infrastructure, transformers, agricultural support, vocational programmes and various empowerment initiatives.
‎

‎The flag-off ceremony was attended by the Senator representing Anambra South, Senator Emmanuel Nwachukwu; the Anambra State Commissioner for Works, Arc. Okey Ezeobi; officials of NBRRI; traditional rulers; community leaders and other residents of Igbo-Ukwu.
‎
‎The Traditional Ruler of Igbo-Ukwu, HRH Igwe Alex Ejikemeuwa Azike-Onedibe, led the traditional institution in the breaking of kola nut and prayers for the successful completion of the project and continued development of the community.
‎
‎The Site Engineer, Engr. Kanayo Maduekwe, disclosed that the road would have a width of 6.5 metres and feature compacted laterite, a 150-millimetre stone base, prime coat and a 40-millimetre asphalt wearing course designed to ensure durability.
‎
‎Residents and stakeholders commended the lawmaker for the intervention, describing the road as a long-awaited project that would strengthen connectivity, facilitate movement, boost local commerce and contribute to the sustainable development of Igbo-Ukwu and its neighbouring communities.
