The Chairman, Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Emma Nwafor, has declared the ongoing Ogboji–Ndiokolo Road project a key driver of agricultural productivity and rural economic transformation.
During an official inspection of the 7kilometer road, Engr. Nwafor emphasized that the project is crucial to unlocking the vast agricultural potential of the region, noting that the road will provide rural farmers with direct access to markets, enhance the transportation of farm produce, and stimulate local trade.
“This road is a lifeline for our rural communities. It will open up farmlands, encourage agro-investments, and improve connectivity between villages and urban centers,” Nwafor stated.
He noted that substantial progress has already been made, with major earthworks completed in several sections and ongoing stabilization works advancing steadily.

Representing Orumba South Constituency in the State House, Nwafor called on the contractors to expedite the project, stressing the importance of timely delivery to catalyze socio-economic development in the area.
Responding to the call, the site contractor, Engr. John Attah, acknowledged weather-related setbacks but assured the committee of the firm’s commitment to completing the project within record time.

“We’ve faced weather disruptions, but we’re fully committed to delivering a durable road as scheduled,” Attah affirmed.
The Ogboji–Ndiokolo Road project is part of broader infrastructure efforts by the Anambra State Government to strengthen rural development and improve livelihoods across the state.
