Residents of flood prone communities in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State have commended Senator Stella Oduah for her humanitarian interventions, describing her as a responsive leader committed to the welfare of the people of Anambra North.
The residents, who spoke in separate interviews on July14, in Okpoko and Iyiowa-Odekpe, said the senator had consistently responded to the annual flooding challenges in the district through free medical outreaches, relief materials and other forms of humanitarian support.
One of the respondents, Mrs Mmasi Okosi, recalled that during previous flood disasters, Oduah deployed medical teams to Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps in Ogbaru, Anam and other affected communities, where victims received free healthcare services, including maternal care.
She added that thousands of displaced families also benefited from the distribution of food items, bedding and potable water to ease the hardship caused by the floods.
Also speaking, Elder Anthony Onyekwelu said the senator’s consistent support for vulnerable communities reflected her commitment to the development and well-being of the people of Anambra North.
He urged residents to continue supporting leaders with proven records of service, expressing confidence that sustained collaboration and effective representation would further improve the living conditions of communities across the senatorial district.
Other residents also praised Oduah’s humanitarian efforts, describing her interventions as timely and impactful for flood-affected communities in Ogbaru and other parts of Anambra North.
