The Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State has dissolved all revenue contracts operating within the council, directing contractors, agents and companies to immediately stop all activities carried out under the existing agreements.
The directive was contained in an official notice issued by Ogbaru Local Government Area on October 8, and addressed to the general public. The notice was signed by Lady Dr. Okpala Augustina Obum, HLGA, on behalf of the council chairman.

According to the notice, all revenue contracts entered into by the local government have been terminated with immediate effect, bringing an end to existing arrangements with revenue collectors and other contractors operating on behalf of the council.
Consequently, all individuals, companies, agents and contractors engaged under the dissolved agreements have been directed to discontinue their operations and comply fully with the directive.
The council said the decision was aimed at strengthening transparency, accountability and efficiency in revenue administration, as well as ensuring better coordination of revenue-generating activities within the local government area.
It also called on members of the public, business operators, revenue contractors and other stakeholders to cooperate with the directive as the administration works towards restructuring the revenue collection system.
The administration expressed its commitment to repositioning revenue administration in Ogbaru through a more organised and transparent system designed to promote accountability and improve governance.
