‎The Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra (OCHA Brigade) on July 30, reaffirmed the ban on open defecation and urination in unauthorized places, warning that violators risk arrest and prosecution.
‎

‎The agency blamed visitors from neighboring states for worsening environmental abuse, alleging many disregard Anambra’s sanitation laws despite maintaining cleaner habits in their home states.
‎

‎The OCHA Brigade stated this while briefing journalists at Upper Iweka Onitsha, It also expressed concern over increasing environmental violations, particularly among travelers, urging every visitor to comply with the state’s environmental regulations.
‎

‎It advised visitors to seek information on designated public conveniences in markets, motor parks, and major roads, stressing that ignorance would not excuse any violation of existing laws.
‎

‎The agency also cautioned commercial drivers, traders, and commuters against indiscriminate waste disposal, urging them to use available waste bins instead of littering roads, drains, and public spaces.
‎

‎According to the statement, mobile waste bins have been strategically placed at Upper Iweka, Onitsha, while designated sanitation facilities remain available across major public locations for public use.
‎

‎Reaffirming its commitment to strict enforcement, OCHA Brigade urged residents to report offenders, emphasizing that sustaining a clean, healthy Anambra remains central to Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s environmental agenda.
