As the 2025/2026 School Session comes to an end today, July 31 and scholars commence this year summer vacation the School Guidance Counselor, Ozalla Primary School, Ifitedunu, Dunukofia Local Government Area, Amb. Solomon Nwankwo has adviced the pupils to observe some safety measures and stay abreast of their education lines during the holidays.
He gave the advice at the Assembly Ground of the school.
He said, “dear pupils, as we conclude this school term and prepare for the long vacation, I congratulate you on your hard work and achievements in the session just ending. The holiday is a time to rest, but it is also an opportunity to grow, learn, and prepare for greater success ahead.
“As your School Counselor, I encourage you to, stay safe at all times; avoid dangerous places, reckless behaviour, and bad company.
“Continue learning. Read your books daily, complete your holiday assignments and develop the habit of reading beyond your schoolwork.
“Respect your parents and elders. Be obedient, polite and willing to assist with household responsibilities.
“Choose your friends wisely. Good friends help you become a better person while bad friends can lead you into trouble.
“Use technology responsibly. Spend less time on social media and games, and more time on educational and creative activities.
“Maintain good character. Be honest, disciplined, kind, and respectful wherever you go. Remember that your behaviour reflects your family and your school.
“Take care of your health. Eat nutritious food, exercise regularly, maintain good personal hygiene, and get enough rest.
“Develop your talents. Use the holiday to learn a new skill, practise your hobbies, or improve your abilities.
“Pray and uphold good moral values. Seek God’s guidance and always do what is right”.
He also urged them to “prepare for the new term. Return to school refreshed, well-prepared, and determined to achieve even greater success”.
The Educationist prayed the pupils to make good choices at all times and never forget to replicate the good teachings of the school anywhere they go.
“Dear students, remember that every choice you make during this vacation shapes your future. Make wise decisions, stay focused on your goals, and be proud ambassadors of our school.
“I wish you a safe, peaceful, enjoyable, and productive long vacation. May God protect you and bring you back safely for a successful new academic term.
“Happy Vacation, and God bless you all!”
