The Mayor of Anambra West Local Government Area, Hon. Tony Obierike, has announced his first set of appointments since assuming office, as part of efforts to establish the administrative structure of his government.
In a statement released through his media office on October 8, the Mayor said the appointments were aimed at building an effective, coordinated and responsive administration focused on the development and welfare of Ndi Anambra West.
The newly appointed officials are Mr. Boniface Oranyelueze Okeke, Secretary to the Local Government; Barr. Stan Nwattah, Special Adviser/Chief of Staff; and Mr. Louis Chukwudi Anietu, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
According to the statement, the appointments are expected to enhance administrative coordination, strengthen communication and facilitate the effective implementation of the Mayor’s programmes, policies and development initiatives.
Obierike congratulated the appointees and charged them to carry out their responsibilities with dedication, professionalism, accountability and commitment to public service.
He also urged the new officials to work together and place the collective interests and aspirations of the people of Anambra West above other considerations.
The Mayor said the appointments represented an important step towards putting in place the administrative framework needed to effectively implement his administration’s agenda.
He expressed confidence that the appointees would bring their experience and commitment to bear in their respective assignments and contribute meaningfully to the development of the local government.
Obierike wished the appointees success in their new responsibilities and urged them to remain focused on delivering on the administration’s objectives and advancing the welfare of the people of Anambra West.
