The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) mayoral Candidate for Anambra West Local Government Area, Hon. Tony Obierike, has commended Anambra State Governor Prof Chukwuma Soludo for his administration’s intervention in the Otuocha–Anam–Nzam road project.
Obierike made the commendation on August 20, at Umuem Anam, during the APGA Local Government Election Campaign Tour of communities in the Ezi-Anam area.
He described the road project as a significant intervention that would address longstanding infrastructure challenges, improve connectivity, and create better opportunities for residents, farmers, traders, and businesses in Anambra West.
He emphasized that completing the Otuocha–Anam–Nzam-Ibaji road would facilitate transportation, improve the movement of agricultural goods, stimulate commercial activities, and enhance access to essential services throughout local communities.
Obierike expressed appreciation to Gov Soludo for prioritising projects that would directly affect the daily lives of the people, particularly communities that had faced infrastructure challenges for many years.
The APGA candidate said that the achievements recorded under the present administration provided a strong foundation for continued development, promising that his administration would consolidate and build upon existing gains further.
He assured the people that, if elected, his administration would pursue practical programmes focused on infrastructure, local economic growth, community development, accountability, and improved responsiveness to people’s needs across communities.
Obierike urged the people of Ezi-Anam and other communities across Anambra West to continue supporting APGA, saying that the party remained committed to grassroots development and responsive leadership in Anambra West.
He added that unity, focused leadership, and sustained collaboration between local and state governments were essential for Anambra West to strengthen its progress and achieve greater development for all.
