The Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education at Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe (NOCEN), has recorded another academic milestone as final year students successfully presented and defended their research projects for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The exercise, conducted under the leadership of the Head of Department, Dr. Nonyelum Stella Nwankwo, provided an opportunity for the students to demonstrate their research skills, defend their chosen topics and respond to questions and observations from the departmental panel.
Lecturers offered constructive feedback, corrections and recommendations to strengthen the quality of the research work ahead of final submission.
The exercise highlighted the importance of research in advancing knowledge, promoting healthy living and developing critical thinking among future professionals in health education, physical education and related fields.
Speaking after the exercise, Dr. Nwankwo commended the lecturers and project supervisors for their guidance, patience and commitment to supporting the students throughout their research work.
She congratulated the final year students on reaching this important stage of their academic journey, encouraging them to apply the knowledge and experience gained to their future academic pursuits and professional responsibilities.
The successful project defence marks a significant step towards graduation for the students and reflects the department’s commitment to academic excellence, research development and the training of competent professionals in Human Kinetics and Health Education.
The department congratulated the 2025/2026 final year students and wished them success in their future endeavours.
