The association made the commitment during a courtesy visit to the Mayor of Ogbaru, Hon. Nnamdi Ifejika, at the council headquarters in Atani on October 16.
The delegation, led by the National President of NAOS, Rtr. Onyedi Chidera, visited the mayor to congratulate him and formally introduce the association, its organisational structure, and activities.
The students explained that NAOS serves as an umbrella body representing Ogbaru students across various educational institutions. They also expressed their willingness to collaborate with the mayor’s administration on initiatives aimed at advancing education and improving students’ welfare across the local government area.

Responding, Mayor Ifejika, popularly known as SINGA, thanked the delegation for the visit and commended its members for demonstrating interest in the development of Ogbaru.
He urged the students to remain worthy ambassadors of their community, maintain responsible conduct, and remain committed to their academic pursuits, emphasising that education is the foundation of sustainable development.
The mayor assured the delegation of his administration’s support for students in Ogbaru, reaffirming his commitment to promoting education as a vital tool for individual growth and community advancement.
The visit concluded with the presentation of a framed portrait of the mayor by the NAOS delegation as a mark of honour, solidarity, and the association’s commitment to building a productive partnership with his administration.
