The Mbosi Town Union (MTU) 9- Man Executive Members elected into office by a unanimous community verdict on January 3, has been sworn-in at the Mbosi Civic Centre to commence its operations.

The President General of Mbosi Town Union, Mr. Innocent Nwabue (Ezeihedi) from Umuka village in Mbosi spoke to the press after the historic event at the Civic centre.

According to Mr. Nwabue, his election into office alongside his newly elected executive was graced by certified government electoral officials, some political heavy weights in the community such as Ide Ebonesie and Chairman Air peace Airlines Chief Allen Onyema, Owelle Mbosi Chief Osita Ezewusi who represented the Oluoha in Council, the member representing Ihiala Federal constituency in the house of representatives and former Deputy Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Dr.Paschal Agbodike, other political juggernauts and community leaders from the 10 villages in the community.

The President General commended Chief Onyema for his pivotal contributions in galvanizing government support toward the security and development of the six towns of Ebonesie namely, Orsumorghu, Azia, Mbosi, Isseke, Lilu and Ubuisiuzor.

He further eulogized his philanthropic propensity which manifested in his well articulated distribution of 6000 bags of rice to the six town of Ebonesie at 1000 bags of rice per town as part of their Christmas and new year package.

Mr. Nwabue urged Chief Onyema not to relent in his efforts to keep the six towns intact for greater exploits.

He also commended Hon. Agbodike for his historic donation of the sum of 100 million naira for the renovation of St. Augustine’s College Mbosi vandalized during the dark days of insecurity in the community, announcing that work will commence at the college soonest.

The President General further announced that the focus of his administration is on providing good leadership for the people of Mbosi and to pursue to a logical conclusion, the complete security of Mbosi Town ably and effectively being managed through the instrumentality of Chief Onyema and his team.

Mr Nwabue commended the sterling efforts and achievements of immediate past President General of Mbosi Town Union Hon. Pastor Azuka Okoli in stabilizing the town and restoring some of the vital infrastructure. Mr Nwabue equally thanked other heavy weights in Mbosi for contributing immensely toward the successes that have been recorded.

He used the forum to appreciate Governor Chukwuma Soludo for ably assisting in securing the community and urged him to provide more democracy dividends to the town which voted massively for him during the November 8, 2025 Governorship election in Anambra State.

In all, Mr. Nwabue expects all Mbosi indigenes and residents both at home and in the Diaspora to be part of the development of the community to ensure that it moves from strength to strength.

In a post congratulatory message to the newly elected 9- man executive of the Mbosi Town Union the Traditional Ruler of Mbosi, Igwe Dr. Gregory Nwokora whose message was conveyed by his Onowu, Chief Osita Ezewusi commended the entire Mbosi community for making the election a huge success and urged them to join him in praying and working toward ensuring a greater Mbosi.
