The Mayor of Awka South Local Government Area, Prince Chinedu Okafor, has felicitated with the immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Victor Oye (Ozonkpu), on the occasion of his 70th birthday.

In a congratulatory message shared on his official Facebook page, Prince commitments described Chief Oye as a distinguished statesman whose leadership, political courage, humility, and commitment have contributed significantly to the growth and stability of APGA.

The Mayor, who spoke on behalf of his family, the people of Awka South Local Government Area, APGA stakeholders, and numerous well-wishers, praised the former party chairman for his outstanding service to the party and his contributions to the development of Anambra State.

According to him, Chief Oye’s years of dedicated service have earned him a place of honour in the political history of APGA and Anambra State, noting that his leadership continues to inspire hope, unity, and excellence among party members and the younger generation.
Prince Okafor stated that the 70th birthday celebration was a fitting opportunity to reflect on Chief Oye’s enduring legacy and remarkable achievements in public service and party administration.

He acknowledged the former APGA National Chairman’s commitment to promoting the ideals of the party and fostering political stability during his tenure.

The Awka South Mayor prayed that God would bless Chief Oye with good health, divine protection, greater wisdom, renewed strength, and many more years of impactful service to Anambra State, APGA, and humanity.
He further wished the elder statesman greater grace, peace, and fulfilment as he celebrates the milestone age of 70 years.
