His Royal Highness (Dr.) Chinedu Benson Madubuko, has been formally crowned Eze Chinechendo I of Adazi-Ani in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State, with the Mayor of Anaocha LGA, Hon. Rome Ibekwe, joining other dignitaries at the historic ceremony.
The colourful coronation, held on Aug. 23, attracted traditional rulers, government officials, political leaders, community stakeholders, and a large gathering of sons and daughters of Adazi-Ani, as well as friends and well-wishers.
Representing the Anaocha Local Government Council, Hon. Ibekwe joined other dignitaries in celebrating the community’s rich cultural heritage and the significance of its traditional institution. The mayor described the coronation as a major milestone for Adazi-Ani and Anaocha, expressing optimism that the new monarch’s reign would promote peace, unity, and sustainable development across the communities.
He commended the people of Adazi-Ani for maintaining unity and peaceful conduct throughout the selection and coronation processes, describing it as a commendable example of communal cooperation. Ibekwe also emphasised the importance of sustained collaboration among the local government, traditional institutions, and other community stakeholders in advancing development, security, youth empowerment, and grassroots progress.
The council chairman pledged the full support of Anaocha Local Government to the new monarch, assuring that the council would continue to collaborate with the palace in promoting the welfare and development of the people.
He congratulated HRH Madubuko, who is widely recognised for his leadership, philanthropic activities, and contributions to community development, and prayed for wisdom, peace, unity, and prosperity throughout his reign.
Hon. Ibekwe further reaffirmed the commitment of the Soludo-led administration to partnering with traditional rulers in preserving Igbo culture, promoting peace, and attracting meaningful development projects to communities across Anaocha LGA.
