In commemoration of Christ’s last Supper, the Parish Priest, Annunciation Catholic Church, Awka, Rev. Fr. Raphael Onyekachukwu Agbanu has called on Christians to imbibe the act of humility and service as Christ had shown during his last Supper with his disciples.
Fr. Agbanu said this during homily on the Holy Thursday Mass celebration. He, also, preached submission to the will of God which according to him attracts unprecedented blessings.
Speaking on the symbolic Maundy Thursday, the Priest explained that Christ on the night he was betrayed, instituted the Eucharist which signifies Christ giving himself with love for the betterment of all till the end of time.

He urged all to always visit the Eucharist, which according to him, is the source and beacon of our Christian life, as Christ giving himself for all and his death on the cross was the number one sacrifice which redeems all.
The cleric urged parishioners not to disconnect from the Eucharistic celebration, so as not to loose out from the Communion with Christ, and to always pray for their Priests.
“We must all remove enmity and unforgiveness from our hearts and emulate the love of Christ who in all humility, washed the feet of his disciples thereby teaching us to practice love and humility,” Fr. Agbanu reiterated.
