Kingdom Heritage Model School on Limca Road, Nkpor, Onitsha Anambra has held a Career Day programme to expose pupils to different professions and help them understand possible career paths.

The programme, themed “Discovering Purpose, Shaping the Future,” was held on Oct. 2 at the school premises, with pupils from Primary Two to Primary Six participating.
Teacher Nchedo Ofodu, in her opening remarks, said the programme provided an opportunity for pupils to identify their interests and begin considering their future careers.

Ofodu encouraged the pupils to think about the professions they would like to pursue and understand the relevance of their school subjects to their chosen career paths.
Speaking on the legal profession, Barr. Isaac Ifeanyi Orji explained the role of lawyers and what the profession entailed, urging the pupils to consider their career choices early.

Pastor Joseph of Living Faith Church, who spoke on the medical profession, advised pupils interested in becoming doctors and nurses that achieving their goals required discipline, hard work and determination.
The Assistant Head Teacher, Teacher Anthonia Chikeluba, urged parents to work with teachers in exposing children to education, skills, workplace experiences and different professions.

Chikeluba also encouraged parents to support their children in pursuing their interests and developing relevant skills from an early age.
The programme featured drama sketches, poetry recitations and speeches by the pupils.
