Okpoko in Ogbaru Local Government Area(LGA) came alive on June 19 as residents, party members and supporters of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) trooped out in celebration following the presentation of the party’s certificate of return to the member representing Ogbaru 1 Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nonso Noble Igwe.
The presentation formally confirms Hon. Igwe as APGA’s flag bearer for Ogbaru 1 Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections, describing the development as a reflection of his performance in office, sustaining commitment to the welfare of his constituents.
Speaking on behalf of the Ijeawele Family Movement, supporters and key stakeholders across the constituency congratulated the lawmaker, noting that his re-nomination underscores the confidence reposed in him by both the party leadership and the electorate.

They commended his contributions to legislative work, good governance and constituency development projects, expressing optimism that his renewed mandate would bring even greater dividends of democracy to the people.
The group urged residents and supporters to rally behind the “Ijeawele Sure Bet Movement” as preparations intensify toward the 2027 elections, calling for unity, sustaining support for the APGA candidate.
According to them, while benefits of governance may not reach everyone at the same time, the movement remains committed to inclusive development and gradual impact across all communities in the constituency.
Prayers were offered for wisdom, strength and resounding victory for Rt. Hon. Nonso Noble Igwe as he continues his political journey.
Supporters at the event reaffirmed their loyalty to APGA pledging continued backing for the lawmaker, echoing the party’s slogan: “APGA! Onye Aghana Nwanne Ya!”
