By Ngozi Jacinta Nnajiofor :
The Mayor of Anaocha, Hon. Romanus Ibekwe, has urged youths to take their learning more seriously, emphasizing that hard work and dedication are the keys to success.
Hon. Ibekwe made this statement during his visit to the 1 Youth, 2 Skills Center at St. John Institute and Vocational Center, Neni, Anaocha Local Government Area, where youths are being trained in various skills.
He explained that the purpose of his visit was to express gratitude to the Anambra State Government and to enlighten the youths about the Governor’s initiatives that are being implemented across all 21 local governments in the state.

“Anaocha is truly exceptional, and we are fortunate because our Governor is deeply committed to the welfare of the youths,” Hon. Ibekwe remarked.
The Mayor further highlighted that while the state government is doing its part, the local government is also taking proactive steps to support youth development, encouraging the youths to focus on acquiring valuable skills, saying that once you are dedicated to learning, financial stability will follow.
“You can earn more from the comfort of your home than some people with a physical shop, once you commit to mastering a skill,” he added.
Looking ahead, Hon. Ibekwe expressed optimism about the future of Anambra State, saying, “In the next five years, Anambra will become an industrial hub where the youths will be self-reliant”.

He also urged the youths to actively participate in the political process by obtaining their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVC) and registering with the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in their respective wards.
“This is the time to join a political movement, APGA. Anambra State is the only state with a Governor who is truly dedicated to ensuring that youths are fully empowered.
“Put your heart and mind into learning. Your future depends on it.”
