INVEST MORE IN LEARNING–ANAOCHA MAYOR ADVISES YOUTHS

The Mayor of Anaocha, Hon. Romanus Ibekwe, has urged youths to take their learning more seriously, emphasizing that hard work and dedication are the keys to success. 

Hon. Ibekwe made this statement during his visit to the 1 Youth, 2 Skills Center at St. John Institute and Vocational Center, Neni, Anaocha Local Government Area, where youths are being trained in various skills.

He explained that the purpose of his visit was to express gratitude to the Anambra State Government and to enlighten the youths about the Governor’s initiatives that are being implemented across all 21 local governments in the state.

“Anaocha is truly exceptional, and we are fortunate because our Governor is deeply committed to the welfare of the youths,” Hon. Ibekwe remarked.

The Mayor further highlighted that while the state government is doing its part, the local government is also taking proactive steps to support youth development, encouraging the youths to focus on acquiring valuable skills, saying that once you are dedicated to learning, financial stability will follow.

“You can earn more from the comfort of your home than some people with a physical shop, once you commit to mastering a skill,” he added.

Looking ahead, Hon. Ibekwe expressed optimism about the future of Anambra State, saying, “In the next five years, Anambra will become an industrial hub where the youths will be self-reliant”.

He also urged the youths to actively participate in the political process by obtaining their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVC) and registering with the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in their respective wards.

“This is the time to join a political movement, APGA. Anambra State is the only state with a Governor who is truly dedicated to ensuring that youths are fully empowered. 

“Put your heart and mind into learning. Your future depends on it.”

I REMAIN COMMITTED TO ENSURING UNPRECEDENTED PROGRESS IN OUR COUNCIL AREA—ANAOCHA MAYOR

The Mayor of Anaocha Local Government, Hon. Rome Ibekwe has reinstated his ever green commitment to ensuring unprecedented progress in the council area. 

He stated this in his New month wishes to the people of Anaocha, noting that January ended on a positive note with many more achievements as he marked his 100 days in office within same month.

Hon. Ibekwe said that the new month, February carries the theme ‘purification and renewal’ with its name derived from the Latin word “FEBRUUM”which means to cleanse, which was observed during the ancient Roman festival called “Februa” when people would cleanse themselves in anticipation of a fresh start symbolizing the shift from Winter to Spring.

“In Anaocha, we are actively working to cleanse and secure our environment by tackling issues of insecurity, crime and their perpetrators. Our vision is to create a peaceful, vibrant and thriving Anaocha.

“I am dedicated to continuing our journey toward achieving a greater Anaocha by ensuring progress, physical and human development as well as other objectives.”

According to him, Every one should stay focused on their business and professional pursuits with hard work and integrity.

“I Welcome Anaocha people to the Joyful New Month of February,” he said.

ANAOCHA MAYOR REITERATES COMMITMENT TO SUPPORTING INDIVIDUALS LIVING WITH HIV

The Mayor of Anaocha LGA Mr. Rome Ibekwe has reaffirmed his commitment in supporting persons living with HIV/AIDS in the communities of Anaocha. 

In his statement to commemorate world AIDS day,  Ibekwe said that the event was aimed at spreading awareness about the status of the pandemic and encouraging progress in HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care around the world.

He called on leaders globally to protect the human rights of persons living with HIV/AIDS in line with this year’s theme of “Take the right path: My Health, My Right”. 

 Ibekwe noted that the commemoration is a clarion call for all hands to be on deck in the fight against HIV/AIDS virus, to ensure a drastic reduction in key statistics. “Let us work together to have a society where everybody will have access to needed care and support irrespective of their HIV status,” he said.

HON. MARK OKOYE’S WEALTH OF EXPERIENCE IN ECONOMIC GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT EARNED HIM RECENT APPOINTMENT….. ANAOCHA MAYOR

The Mayor of Anaocha LGA Hon. Rome Ibekwe has eulogised the wealth of experience gathered by Hon. Mark Okoye during his days as the Anambra State Commissioner of Economic Planning and Budget, his position as the DG and CEO of Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA) as part of the feathers on his cap that has earned him the recent appointment as DG/CEO of South East Development Commission.

In his congratulatory message, Hon. Ibekwe said that it is a well deserved appointment saying that he is optimistic that his professionalism and leadership skills will make a great impact in the development of the South East region of Nigeria.

He said that Hon. Mark Okoye has the skill and track record of proven results which will fuel his desire in promoting infrastructural development and sustainable economic growth in the South East.

According to him, the administration of Hon. Okoye will address the pressing challenges of the region for a more secure and prosperous future.

“Congratulations Hon. Mark Okoye, keep up your high standard,” he said.
