The former Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra West Local Government Area, Hon. Felix Ikechi, has congratulated the people of Anambra as the state celebrates its 35th anniversary.
Ikechi, in a statement issued on Aug. 23, described the anniversary as an opportunity to reflect on the state’s journey, celebrate its achievements and renew hope for a brighter future.
According to him, Anambra has recorded significant progress in infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, technology and economic development, with the impact becoming increasingly visible across communities.
He said the transformation taking place in the state demonstrated what determined people could achieve when purposeful leadership, innovative ideas and collective responsibility were brought together.
The former council boss acknowledged the contributions of successive administrations to the development of the state, noting that each had played a role in shaping the Anambra of today.
He urged Ndi Anambra to remain united and committed to hard work, enterprise, accountability and community spirit, which, he said, had continued to distinguish the state.
Ikechi, who is the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Anambra West Constituency in the State House of Assembly, said the future belonged to a new generation that must protect the state’s achievements while bringing fresh ideas, energy and innovation.
He expressed confidence that sustained commitment, responsible leadership and collective effort would enable Anambra to achieve greater milestones and strengthen its position among leading states in Nigeria.
Ikechi wished the government and people of Anambra a happy 35th anniversary, urging them to celebrate the state’s journey while working together toward a more prosperous and inclusive future.
