The Anambra State ICT Agency is expanding its digital-readiness assessment across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to strengthen technology adoption and improve government operations.
The Agency’s MDA Compliance Team recently visited the Ministries of Health and Finance to assess digital capacity, identify gaps and promote compliance with applicable standards.

The engagements also examine the use of government digital infrastructure and identify areas where MDAs require guidance, training or technical support to improve their operations.
According to the Agency’s Head of MDAs Compliance, Mrs. Chinyelu Odigbo, the visits are already contributing to practical improvements in the digital capacity of government institutions.
“Beyond assessing compliance and identifying gaps, the engagements have helped drive website development for MDAs without an online presence, alongside official government email onboarding and training,” she said.

The Ministry of Agriculture illustrates this impact, following ICTA-facilitated government email onboarding and practical training for staff at its headquarters and local government offices, at the Commissioner’s request.
The latest visits build on earlier engagements as ICTA continues assessing digital readiness, institutional needs, infrastructure and the capacity of MDAs to use available digital tools effectively.
The exercise reflects ICTA’s commitment to ensuring digital transformation goes beyond technology deployment to promote effective adoption, stronger institutional capacity and improved coordination across government.
Through continued MDA engagement, ICTA aims to strengthen digital readiness and support more efficient, technology-enabled public services, advancing Anambra State’s vision of a digitally transformed government.
