Chief Ebuka Onunkwo, a businessman and philanthropist, has declared his intention to run for the Anambra South Senatorial Seat in 2027.

He made the declaration at the Ekwusigo Local Government Secretariat field in Ozubulu, surrounded by supporters and party faithful.

Onunkwo said that he made a vow to God to alleviate the sufferings of the less privileged and would uphold it if elected, emphasizing that his goal is to bring democracy dividends to the people and make a positive impact on their lives.

The industrialist promised to ensure effective representation and legislate for the benefit of the people, highlighting his track record of philanthropy, citing his contributions to education, healthcare, and community development.

He attributed his success to God’s blessings and vowed to continue helping the needy.

The Mayor of Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Hon. Chimezie Obi, endorsed Onunkwo as the best candidate for the job.

Onunkwo’s media aide, Kamen Chuks Ogbonnia, praised his boss’s pedigree in human capital development and infrastructural growth.

The event was attended by a large crowd, with many expressing support for Onunkwo’s candidacy and thanking him for his past contributions.
