Anambra State Head of Service (HOS), Barr. Ngozi Iwouno has bemoaned the state workforce for non compliance to civil service rules as it concerns coming to work early, staying on duty posts as and when due as well as for punctuality to work.
She made the admonition while having a chat with the workers at the State Secretariat’s Multi Purpose Hall, Jerome Udoji Secretariat, Awka on Monday March 30.
The meeting was called aftermath of the visit of the State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo to the State Secretariat on Thursday, March 26 where many offices and seats were found empty as at the later parts of the morning of that day.
The HOS who said that the government was ready to recreate the working conditions of the workers told them that such moves cannot be possible with their playing nonchalance to the tenets of their work ethics.
Chairman, Anambra State chapter of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Humphrey Nwosu and his Trade Union Congress (TUC) counterpart, Comrade Chris Nwosu in their own submission pleaded with the government to help restructure the work environment so a to give the workers more sense to do their jobs effectively.
