The Justice Chuba Ikpeazu Stadium, Onitsha, came alive as thousands of transporters from across Anambra State gathered to declare their unwavering support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo, ahead of the November 8 Governorship election.
Among the dignitaries who joined the Governor’s entourage at the rally was the Member representing Onitsha North I Constituency and Chairperson of the Anambra State House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Hon. (Barr.) Mimi Ifeoma Azikiwe.
Hon. Azikiwe stood alongside the Mayor of Onitsha North, Hon. Nweze Tony Nwora, the Commissioner for Youth Development, the Majority Leader of the State House of Assembly, APGA executives, and other political stakeholders as transporters reaffirmed their confidence in Governor Soludo’s leadership.
Speaking to journalists shortly after the event, Hon. Azikiwe described the endorsement as a “true reflection of the Governor’s impact and the people’s satisfaction with his developmental strides”.
She commended Governor Soludo for his people-centered governance, citing remarkable progress in urban renewal, infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and women inclusion across the state.
“Governor Soludo has redefined leadership with results that speak for themselves. His vision for a livable and prosperous homeland is not just a slogan—it’s a reality we are all proud to be part of,” she said.
