Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State, has visited the family of Miss Chinwe Igwe, the young trader who died during the confrontation with officials of the Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra (OCHA) Brigade at Onitsha Main Market.
During the condolence visit in Onitsha North, the Governor expressed sympathy to the bereaved family and assured them that the state government will carry out a thorough investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The governor also visited the injured, one recovering at New Hope Hospital in Onitsha, and two others receiving treatment at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, to check on their condition.
Governor Soludo emphasized that security officials found wanton after the investigation will be held accountable under the law.
Meanwhile, security presence has been strengthened in and around Onitsha Main Market to restore calm and reassure traders.
