The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has appointed Nwabunwanne Okonkwo, aged 39, as the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of the newly formed Anambra State Development and Investment Corporation (ADIC). This corporation is tasked with overseeing key business ventures, infrastructure projects, and private sector investments within the state.

This announcement was made through a press statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, on April 20, 2026.

Mr. Aburime emphasized that his appointment aims to fulfill ADIC’s mission of attracting, financing, and managing major business and infrastructure projects, as well as private investment in Anambra.

Okonkwo is a finance lawyer with over 16 years of experience in the financial services sector. He earned a master’s degree in corporate finance from Wayne State University in Michigan, USA.

Before joining ADIC, he served as the Managing Director of DLM Advisory, the investment banking division of DLM Capital Group. DLM Capital is a development investment bank known for executing innovative transactions in Nigeria, and Okonkwo has helped mobilize over $1 billion for various governments and corporations across multiple industries in Africa.
