The Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, commissioned a 3km stretch of the Ozu-Inyaba, Ozubulu-Ihembosi road with street lighting in Ekwusigo Local Government Area (LGA) on September 19. He lauded the Mayor, Mr. Chimezie James Obi, for his development initiatives, sustainability efforts, and commitment to grassroots progress.
“This project is a significant milestone, showcasing exceptional quality, completed with a cement-stabilised, asphalted surface. Since 2006, this is the first time in Anambra that mayors actively deliver grassroots dividends of democracy.

“We enacted laws to ensure LGAs are efficient and effective, with primary healthcare centres functioning properly and teachers’ dues and workers’ benefits being paid promptly,” he said.
Earlier, the outgoing Mayor of Ekwusigo, Mr. Chimezie Obi, welcomed the governor to Ekwusigo. He praised the ongoing development across the state, expressing pride in Soludo’s leadership.

The mayor also pledged continued support for the Soludo government and commended the security network established by the state, which he credited with improving safety in Ekwusigo.
